The British Library Newspaper Archive holds over 34,000 newspaper titles from the UK and overseas, or 60 million individual issues dating from the 1700s to today. To search this collection is free, but if you wish to download a paper or article there is a fee.

Australia

Trove managed by the National Library of Australia in Canberra is a national database that should be always at your side if you are researching your story in Australia. Not only does it contain past newspapers, but you will find almost anything you need in its pages.

The National Archives of Australia is your other best friends if you need information.

The United States

The National Archives and Records Administration comprises 48 locations across the country.
